I've been finding myself more and more inspired by music again. I had a brief stint playing the double bass (with a smattering of violin) in orchestra that left me with a deep love for classical and jazz. It's become my go-to for driving to work in the morning and unwinding at night, particularly now that the local station is coming through more clearly. Occasionally a piece strikes a chord in me, and I want to share that moment with you. That moment of taking some time to stop and listen.
And thus, we have a new series here at Fancifully. Today's piece is the Morning Papers Waltz by Johann Strauss II. I have a fondness for waltzes. They appeal to the dancer I wish I was. Listening to this I can't help but picture myself in a sparkly ballgown, being twirled around the room. At least I can live out that moment in my dreams.
